SELF-COMPASSION: A SKILL TOWARDS EMPOWERMENT, GROWTH, AND CONNECTION

Success is often defined by the impossible goals of perfectionism, competition, and overwork. However, this approach often leads us to feel powerless, insecure, burnt-out, and leads us to respond harshly to ourselves and others, especially when we experience making mistakes or encounter challenges and difficulties. Self-compassion leads us to a more realistic approach to success – one that empowers us to learn from mistakes and failures, have a realistic acknowledgement of our resources and competencies, and recognize our worth and our authentic selves. Our capacity to extend self-compassion to ourselves determines our ability to extend compassion to others. This online workshop introduces participants to self-compassion – a healthier way to respond when we encounter mistakes, when we think about perceived imperfections, and when we experience various challenges and stressors.
